Share anything to Melo
The camp sign-up page, the dentist's PDF, a screenshot of the group chat. Wherever it is, share it to Melo and say what you want done with it.
What you can share
- Web pages from Safari, Chrome or any app with a share button.
- PDFs and files, such as a permission slip or a schedule.
- Photos and screenshots, one or several at a time.
- Text you have selected or copied.
Share it
- Tap Share (the square with an arrow) in the app you are in.
- Choose Melo. The first time, scroll the row of apps to the end, tap More, and turn Melo on so it stays in the row.
- Tap Ask Melo to…. Melo opens with the item attached in chat.
- Say what you want. For example "Add the dates from this to our calendar" or "Make this a task for Sam", then send.
- Tap Share in the app you are in.
- Choose Melo from the list of apps. Melo opens straight into chat with the item attached.
- Say what you want. For example "Add the dates from this to our calendar" or "Make this a task for Sam", then send.
What happens next
Melo reads the page, file or photo and replies in chat with what it found. Tasks, events, recipes and plans it creates show up on the Tasks tab and the Board, and you can tweak anything by replying.
Good to know
- A photo works best when the whole page is in frame and the text is readable.
- No instruction in mind? Just send it. Melo will ask what you would like to do, or suggest something.
- Prefer to unload several things at once and sort them later? Use a brain dump instead.
