Get it out of your head with a brain dump

A brain dump is for the moment you have ten things in your head and no time to organise them. Unload them in one go. Melo sorts them in the background and shows you what it found when you are ready.

Start a brain dump

  1. Open the brain dump. On the Home tab, under Need a hand?, tap 🧠 Brain dump. Or open Chat and tap the 🧠 Brain dump starter.
  2. Unload. The chat switches to brain-dump mode and asks "What needs to get out of your head right now?" Type it all in one message, tap the mic and say it, or use + to attach a photo of a flyer or a PDF. Links can go in as text.
  3. Send. Tap the arrow. You will see Captured! and Melo gets to work in the background. Tap Review boarding results now, or come back later.

Review what Melo found

  1. Open Brain Dumps. Go to the Board tab and open Brain Dumps. Each dump shows its status: Processing, Ready, or Needs review.
  2. Open a dump. Under What you need to know or do each item Melo found is listed as a task, event, note, document, plan or recipe. Use the filter chips to narrow it down.
  3. Approve or ignore each one. Tap ✓ to approve or ✕ to skip. Tap the row first if you want to change the date, time or who it is assigned to before approving.

Approved items are real. A task goes on the Tasks tab for the person you chose, an event lands on the family's plans, a document is filed on the Board. Nothing is created until you approve it.
