Load your kids' school calendar into Melo

Early dismissals, spirit week, picture day. Give Melo the school's calendar once and it proposes every date for you to accept, so they end up in the family's plans and on your own calendar.

Pick whatever the school gives you

Melo can read any of these. Use the one you already have:

Share it with Melo

On iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the share sheet. On the web page, PDF or photo, tap the Share button (the square with an arrow).
  2. Choose Melo. If Melo is not in the row of apps, scroll to the end, tap More and turn it on.
  3. Tap Ask Melo to…. Melo opens with the calendar attached in chat.
  4. Say whose it is and send. For example "This is Maya's school calendar for the year. Add the days off, early dismissals and events."

On Android

  1. Open the share sheet. On the web page, PDF or photo, tap Share.
  2. Choose Melo from the list of apps. Melo opens straight into chat with the calendar attached.
  3. Say whose it is and send. For example "This is Maya's school calendar for the year. Add the days off, early dismissals and events."

Prefer to type? Paste the calendar link straight into a chat with Melo and say what it is.

Check what Melo found

  1. Read the reply. Melo lists the dates it found and what it created from them: events on the family's plans, tasks for things that need doing.
  2. Correct it in the same chat. "Skip the teacher workdays", "the early dismissal is 1:30, not 1:00", "assign the picture-day form to me".
  3. Find them later on the Tasks tab and under Events on the Board, and on your own calendar if you subscribed.

Rather sort it later? Start a brain dump, attach the calendar with +, and review Melo's suggestions one by one in Brain Dumps whenever you have a minute.
